Family Shoots
Whatever type of shoot you’ve booked, we’ll arrange a time to have a chat about your needs and touch base with any queries. If it’s a family shoot, you’ll tell me about your family, who your children are and what makes them tick, how they like to play and we’ll discuss some suggestions of treats and options of places to shoot. There’s a blog post here on how to best prepare for your day.
On the day, we’ll go exploring and let the children settle into me being there as part of your group and have some fun wandering, climbing, jumping around. The camera may be used straight away, let’s let the children relax and then I can begin to capture those images. The best pictures come when everyone is enjoying themselves, so no cheese and forced smiles here please!
Weddings
Definitely a cuppa and a cake needed here while we talk, while I get to know you both and get a feel for the type of imagery and fun we can have on your big day. We’ll work out a list of ‘got to have’ images, a timetable of shots and moments we can freeze, add in a sprinkle of natural magic and we have a recipe for beautiful images and a carefree day.
I’ll arrive early and hang around in the background and capture the action without intruding, letting events unfold around me, noticing the small details, glimpses into characters and settings, laughter between family and friends, the looks you give each other – all of which makes the taking of those magical images easy, leaving you with images to treasure forever.
Branding and Head Shots
If it’s a branding shoot, we’ll go into more detail and dig behind the brand, getting to know you and planning a set of bespoke images that you can use on your socials, website and beyond for months to come. We’ll look at branding and colours and plan a timescale for the day and a schedule to visit a few places.
I’ll check in with you the day before and arrive early, so there’s no rushing around and we can start the day relaxed and ready to go, working through our shot list, leaving time to add in sudden ideas while we’re out or adapt as we go along.
Events
Events and concerts tend to bring a brief ready made and we’ll talk that through, ensuring I understand your imagery and needs, matching your branding and have everything ready on the day for those professional images.
On most shoots, I’ll hang around in the background and capture the action without intruding, letting events unfold around me, noticing the small details, glimpses into characters and settings, which makes the taking of those magical images easy, leaving you with images that tell your story, bringing people into your world, your brand. But don’t get me wrong, I’m as happy at the side of the stage capturing the action or organising those ‘everybody who’s here shot’s.’ Just the rest of the time, I’ll be invisible.

After the shoot
I’ll get down to editing those images and drop you a message when they are ready. They’ll be a private, online gallery for you to view, and share with family, friends and colleagues if you like, of all the edited images.
Depending on your package, the high resolution images will then either be just a click away from downloading and using how you choose or ready for you to make a selection and purchase as digitals or prints. Any digitals will be emailed over to you, to then choose how you want to display then – whether that’s printing them out, framing or on canvas. Or prints and canvases will be delivered direct to your door.
